Dr Chen Jianning is a tertiary educator and engineer with over 15 years of experience in the marine and offshore engineering field. He holds a Doctorate in Education (Psychology and Child & Human Development) from NTU-NIE, along with postgraduate qualifications in Mechanical Engineering from NUS and NTU. Currently serving as Course Manager at ITE College Central’s School of Engineering, he contributes to curriculum planning, student development, and industry engagement. He has been privileged to support Singapore’s maritime decarbonisation efforts, including helping to develop the country’s first MPA-accredited training programme for battery-powered harbour craft. He has also had the opportunity to present at forums and collaborate with various stakeholders. A certified industry trainer, he spearheads training programme with leading partners like Seatrium Ltd. Jianning remains grateful for the chance to contribute through innovation projects, community initiatives, and workforce development efforts.
