Educated Marine Engineer and sailed as Marine Engineer for a decade before joining The Danish Maritime Authority as Ship Surveyor. In 2005 changed from the survey department to the regulatory department in DMA and has participated meetings in IMO with special focus on fire safety, design and equipment and oil and air pollution. Has participated in the environmental work in MEPC meetings, with focus on GHG emissions from shipping and the development of EEDI, DCS, EEXI, CII as well as regulation and guidelines for alternative fuels such ad LNG, Methanol etc. and now the development of guidelines for hydrogen and ammonia.
