Mr Roberto Cazzulo

International Association of Classification Societies

Graduated with honours in Civil Engineering at Genoa University, Institute of Building Science, in 1981 he joined RINA, one of the founding members of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS), as expert in structural reliability and risk analysis. In the past, he chaired various working groups at the IMO, such as the one on Human Element and Formal Safety Assessment, as well as he contributed to the development of Goal Based Standards and Common Structural Rules for new ship construction. He chaired IACS in 2013-2014 and he has been re-elected Council Chair for 2024-2025.
