Capt Jamaludin Jaffar is a Senior Marine Safety Investigator with the Transport Safety Investigation Bureau (TSIB) of Singapore. He brings over 30 years of maritime experience, including deep-sea command and port operations. Before joining TSIB, he served as a Senior Marine Surveyor with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), overseeing the seaworthiness of Singapore-registered ships worldwide. At TSIB, he leads investigations into serious marine occurrences such as collisions, fires, and groundings. He is accredited under the IMO Model Course 3.11 and actively contributes to the development of investigation procedures and training. Capt Jamaludin is recognised for his operational expertise and his commitment to maritime safety through independent, no-blame investigations.
